New York State Senator Michael Venditto (R, C, I- Massapequa), had the opportunity to congratulate and present the 2015 Unidad Latina Excellence in Public Service Award to Freeport Trustee Jorge Martinez.
The fifth annual Unidad Latina Conference at Molloy College. The Conference co-hosted with Molloy College and Círculo de la Hispanidad to help increase economic opportunities for the growing Hispanic communities in New York State.
Jorge Martinez is a well-respected local leader who helps make a difference in the lives of his fellow South Shore residents. Since 2007, he has served as a Trustee in the Village of Freeport, here in Nassau County, and was the first Hispanic to be elected to this position. He has been a Freeport resident for over 35 years and has worked tirelessly to enrich and give back to his community.
