Outgoing Fort Drum Major General Townsend at NYS Senate

Senator Felder thanked outgoing Major General Stephen J. Townsend, Commanding General of Fort Drum for his service to our nation and to the Fort Drum community, at a ceremony held in the New York State Senate in Albany.

Major General Stephen J. Townsend, Commanding General of Fort Drum, delivered formal remarks at the start of the Senate’s session. He was accompanied by a color guard, soldiers, and officers who serve with the 10th Mountain Division, including Colonel Gary Rosenberg, Fort Drum Garrison Commander; Captain Scott Dawe, Commanding General’s Assistant; and Lieutenant Colonel Tage Rainsford, Public Affairs Officer.
