The commitment came after local elected officials and community members met with a NYSDOT traffic engineer on April 21st.
Senator Stewart-Cousins’ commended the DOT’s response as a step in the right direction. The NYSDOT plans to make pavement markings on the Saw Mill in advance of the northbound Saw Mill at Lawrence Street, to indicate that the right lane is also the turning lane. Additional signage is also being considered. The DOT has scheduled the improvements to be completed in August.
