Senate Resolution Honoring David Ford, Sr.

(Mt. Vernon - April 30th) Senator Stewart-Cousins, the Senate Democratic Leader, presented a Senate Resolution honoring David Ford, Sr., for his decades of service to the Westchester community. Ford first served his country in World War II. He became the Commissioner of the Water Department in Mount Vernon until his retirement in 2010. Ford has been a vital member of the Mt. Vernon YMCA and other local organizations, including serving 30 years as Board Chairman of the Mt. Vernon Neighborhood Health Center. Senator Stewart-Cousins also thanked David Ford personally for his political leadership, serving 27 years as chairman of the Mt. Vernon Democratic Party and as a founding member of the Black Democrats of Westchester County. Congratulations!
