Statement from State Senator Gustavo Rivera on the Shooting of Two Police Officers in the Bronx
November 5, 2016
“I want to express my deepest condolences to the family of Sergeant Paul Tuozzolo, a 19-year NYPD veteran, who passed away yesterday after a shooting in the Bronx. At the same time, I wish Sergeant Emmanuel Kwo a speedy recovery after being hit on the leg during the incident. This is a further reminder of the dangers faced by our men and women in blue while on the job. These two officers truly went beyond the call of duty to make our City a safer place to live. It is indeed a sad day for our city."
