Glad we welcome a sapling grown from the 1,000 year old Miharu Takizakura cherry tree to Prospect Park today. I join the entire community along with NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, Mr. Yoichi Masuzoe, Governor of Tokyo, and my Director of Community Affairs, Raul Rothblatt, in celebrating the friendship between Japan and the United States.
