Supporting Howard Houses Fire Victims

Standing with the community in support of the family struck by a fire that ripped through the 13th floor of Howard Houses taking the life of a 1-year-old and leaving six others injured. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and neighbors who have just suffered the most horrific loss. Thanks to the FDNY for bringing this deadly blaze under control, to the Red Cross relief team and to all the first responders giving support.
Time for us, the community of second responders, to step in with aid. And further, Brooklyn deserves the infrastructure to care for victims with a burn unit. In this moment of crisis, show that our Borough of Neighborhoods answers those in urgent need. In this season of cherishing our common humanity, we must pull together and lend a hand.
