One Love, Increase the Peace, Unity, Disarm Hate, The World Needs Love – some of the positive messages prominently featured at our Unity in the Community Walk.
Thanks to everyone who was able to attend, walk with us, and stand in solidarity against violence. Great contributions from elected officials including Public Advocate Letitia James, Comptroller Scott Stringer, New York State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, Assemblywoman Latrice M. Walker, Assemblywoman Diana C. Richardson, Assemblyman Walter T. Mosley, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, Council Member Robert E. Cornegy, Jr., and so many more representatives from the clergy, NYPD, community partners, like Lay The Guns Down Foundation, and neighborhood residents.
Grateful for support from U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clarke, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, Councilmember Darlene Mealy (Dem) City Council District 41, Council Member Laurie Cumbo, CouncilmemberMathieu Eugene, Councilmember Jumaane D. Williams, and Coucilmember Rafael Espinal.
