Senator Bonacic Announces $180,000 Grant for the Town of Greenville for Improvements to the Town Park

(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has secured a $180,000 grant for the Town of Greenville, for improvements to the Town Park. The grant funding was secured through the State Municipal Grant Program, funding for which was appropriated via the 2015-2016 State Budget. The grant money will go towards several improvements at Town Park including, the construction of a building to house bathrooms and concession stands, the purchase of a tractor for maintenance of park grounds, the construction of a barn to house maintenance equipment, and the installation of a well and septic systems.
“This grant money will help the Town of Greenville make improvements to its Town Park,” said Senator Bonacic. “It’s a win-win for the taxpayers’ in Greenville as well, because not only will it save them money, but when finished, it will serve as a place for families to meet and enjoy all the recreational activities.”
“I want to thank Senator Bonacic for his help in securing this substantial grant for the Town of Greenville,” said Town of Greenville Supervisor George J. Hossann, Jr. “This project will have a lasting impact on our community for years to come.”
Said Orange County Legislator Melissa Bonacic, who represents the Town of Greenville, “A refurbished town park will be of tremendous benefit to the residents of Greenville. It will provide the community with a beautiful, updated space that they can enjoy for a long time.”
