(Middletown, NY)-State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) announced today that he has secured a $75,000 grant for the Town of Tuxedo, for the purchase of two dump trucks for the Highway Department. The grant was secured through the State Municipal Grant Program, funding for which was made available as part of the 2015-2016 State Budget.
“I’m pleased to have secured this grant for the Town of Tuxedo, which will save the local taxpayers money,” said Senator Bonacic. “With the addition of two new dump trucks, the Highway Department can continue effectively serving the public.”
“The Town of Tuxedo is not only thankful, but excited about receiving this grant in the amount of $75,000,” said Town of Tuxedo Supervisor Michael Rost. “This grant will be an enormous help, not only towards our fiscal management, but for the safety of our Highway Department employees, and the efficiency of work that is achieved.”
