Senator Bonacic Meets with Catholic Charities and Joins Local Leaders for a Press Conference Highlighting Recovery Month

(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mr. Hope) met yesterday with the leadership team of Catholic Charities Community Service of Orange and Sullivan at their Sullivan County office in Monticello. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss with Senator Bonacic recent developments at Catholic Charities including upcoming capital projects and the organizations ongoing efforts to provide support for those individuals seeking treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
Later in the day, Senator Bonacic attended a press conference to draw attention to National Recovery Month, which takes place during the month of September. The press conference took place at SUNY Sullivan in Loch Sheldrake. Senator Bonacic was joined by local elected officials, law enforcement officials, Catholic Charities officials, and local healthcare professionals. During his remarks Senator Bonacic spoke of the state’s efforts to combat substance abuse, and provide treatment. He also encouraged those in need of help, to seek it immediately.
