Senator Kathy Marchione and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner co-hosted an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast today at the Stillwater United Church. They were joined by Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen, City of Mechanicville Mayor Dennis Baker and other representatives from the City of Mechanicville and the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. Today's Interfaith Prayer Breakfast featured a discussion on the important issue of intergenerational poverty in Saratoga and Washington Counties. Leaders of the faith community from Saratoga Springs, Schuylerville, Malta, South Glens Falls, Stillwater, Mechanicville, Greenwich, Salem, Argyle, Cambridge, and several other area towns and villages, discussed the challenges that their congregations face in helping local residents who live in poverty.
