March 4, 2016
Senator Kathy Marchione is pictured in the NYS Senate Chamber holding a black balloon to help raise awareness of "Black Balloon Day," which is Sunday, March 6. Black Balloon Day was launched by Boston resident Lauren Hurley to assist in recognizing victims of drug addiction, as well as any individuals and families that have been impacted by the drug epidemic or lost a loved one. On Black Balloon Day, individuals are asked to hang a black balloon outside their home to raise greater awareness of this cause. Included with this picture and post is the link to a story that ran on CBS Boston WBZ-TV News about Black Balloon Day. Please share and help Senator Marchione spread this special message of hope and healing.
