Albany, NY - Rochester resident Wanya Denzel traveled to Albany this week to be recognized as a Youth of the Year Award. The achievement is the Boys & Girls Club's highest honor. It recognizes exceptional young men and women for their outstanding contributions to the community, as well as their perseverance in overcoming personal challenges and obstacles.
Denzel has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester for 12 years, working at the Club as a junior counselor teaching younger kids. He has also volunteered more than 200 hours of community service to the after-school tutoring program.
