Best wishes for a safe and successful, meaningful and memorable New Year across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes!

I’m grateful for this opportunity to say thank you and best wishes.

Thank you for your interest and participation in New York State government throughout 2016.

On issues ranging from agriculture to workforce development and so many others in between – jobs and economic growth, environmental conservation and protection, the heroin and opioid epidemic, mandate relief and educational quality, to name just a few – I’ve heard from thousands upon thousands of Southern Tier and Finger Lakes residents since last January.

I appreciate this input, it makes a difference and I hope it continues as many of the same challenges that we’ve worked hard to address over the past twelve months will continue to demand our attention in 2017.

The concerns facing our communities here in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions – jobs losses, high taxes, unfunded state mandates, unreasonable and unfair state regulations, and on and on – are going to be priority issues for me and many of my legislative colleagues in 2017.

So I hope to keep hearing from you. While we won’t always agree on every single issue, the ongoing give and take is valuable.
