O’Mara to receive ‘Appreciation Award’ from New York Association of Conservation Districts

Horseheads, N.Y., October 30—The New York Association of Conservation Districts (NYACD) and district managers of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) from Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tompkins and Yates counties will present State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) with the association’s 2016 “Appreciation Award” at a ceremony at the Chemung County Fairgrounds on Monday, October 31, 2016.
The NYACD presents the award to “a member of the media, or farmer or educator or legislator who has provided a service, not just to the SWCD, but to the conservation ethics we hold dear.”
Monday’s presentation ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Conservation Cabin at the Chemung County Fairgrounds in Horseheads (170 Fairview Road).
The media is invited to attend.
