On Monday, Senator O'Mara, a member of the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, joined Liz Benjamin on the set of "Capital Tonight" on Time Warner Cable News to discuss the prescription drug and heroin abuse crisis facing the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, and all of New York State.

In one of its rankings, a new study from Castlight Health, "The opioid crisis in America's workforce," highlighted the city of Elmira as the No. 1 city in America for the "percentage of opioid prescriptions abused."
