SALUTING ASSEMBLYWOMAN BARBARA CLARK
Senator Velmanette Montgomery
February 23, 2016
A Dedicated Legislator, and Friend
Today, with great sadness, I salute the passing of one of the great ladies of the NYS Legislature, Assemblywoman Barbara Clark.
Barbara Clark faithfully served her constituents in the 33rd Assembly District, in eastern Queens for many years, ensuring that their voices were heard and their concerns addressed. It was my great privilege to work with her on several pieces of legislation, most recently our joint bill to bar the use of condoms as evidence in prostitution cases.
Her clear thinking, reasoned voice, and ever present smile will be greatly missed.
