May I introduce the remarkable women of the 25th Senate District...

Dear Neighbors,

I hope you will join me in celebrating Women’s History Month and the distinguished accomplishments  of women throughout New York State. From our Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul; to Chief Judge Janet DiFiore; to Kathy Sheehan and Lovely Warren, the first women to serve as Mayors of  Albany and Rochester; New York women are breaking barriers in all levels of government.

For the first time in history, the public education systems in New York State and New York City are led  by women - SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher; Board of Regents Chancellor Betty Rosa;  State Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia; and NYC Education Chancellor Carmen Fariña.

The 25th Senate District is home to extraordinary women. Mothers, sisters, daughters...all heroes who strive to make our community a better place. It is my honor to introduce you to women pioneers whose visionary organizational leadership accomplishments are redefining our borough and its people.

I also invite you to download a PDF of my current newsletter which honors these women, as well as the next generation of women institutional leaders!
