The inaugural ‘Love Yourself’ Brooklyn Peace Concert served as an inclusive, cross-community celebration of Caribbean heritage. I am proud to partner with colleagues, performing artists, academics, and educators to honor that heritage, support a safe J’Ouvert, and promote the values we cherish as a community, peace and unity, alongside great food, great music, and a great sense of community spirit. I look forward to building on existing celebrations and continuing this tradition for years to come.
Thanks to Assemblyman Walter T. Mosley, NYC Council Member Laurie Cumbo, District Leader Geoffrey Davis, all the artists, educators, and participants who made the Brooklyn Peace Concert such a success!
