Celebrating the First School Year of The Campus
Jesse Hamilton
May 19, 2017
Celebratory atmosphere as we recognized students, educators, schools, and community partners for their accomplishments with the Campus this academic year. Our first in the nation technology and wellness hub at a public housing site marked the end of our first school year with student presentations, performances, and a look ahead at The Campus Summer Classes.
Aiming to build digital literacy, improve public health, and empower the community, I launched the Campus in Brownsville, Brooklyn, alongside colleagues and community partners in the Fall of 2016. Since then, we have partnered with additional community groups and schools to bring the Campus programs to more of Central Brooklyn.
Thanks to all who contributed to making this first year of Campus programs such a success!
