The incredible staff and volunteers of the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center and Save Our Streets Crown Heights do critical anti-violence work. Amy Ellenbogen, the Project Director at the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center, is an ally and an outstanding advocate for our community. I am proud to announce $50,000 to help continue that work, uplifting our neighborhood’s young people and acting proactively to prevent violence.
Too many families in our New York communities face the agony of losing loved ones due to violence – oftentimes gun violence. The dedicated staff and volunteers of the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center and SOS Crown Heights work to heal the community and help prevent violence before it destroys lives. This $50,000 represents a small token of our New York community’s deep investment in this important work.
