Making the American Dream More Accessible

Proud to stand with colleagues, advocates, and car wash workers pressing for a livable wage for car wash workers. We need to advance measures that make the American Dream more accessible to all hardworking New Yorkers.
As I wrote in City and State, "There is no good reason for anyone to oppose the idea that all car wash workers should be able to earn the state’s minimum wage without relying on the generosity of their customers. It’s an archaic system that keeps individuals in poverty and needs to be eliminated."
