(Albany, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt Hope) announced today that the Town of Denning will receive a $50,000 grant for the construction of a storage garage for the town Highway Department. The grant was secured through the State Municipal Facilities Program, which funding was secured in the 2016-2017 State Budget.
The Town of Denning is in need of a storage garage for the protection of the Town’s heavy-duty road maintenance equipment and vehicles. At the present time, the grader, mower and plow trucks sit out in the weather.
“This grant will help the town ensure the protection of some of their key assets at the Highway Department,” said Senator Bonacic. “Not only will this grant help with the protection of these heavy duty machines and vehicles, it will also save local taxpayers money.”
Said Town of Denning Supervisor David Brooks, “I want to thank Senator Bonacic for his continued advocacy on behalf of the residents of the Town of Denning. This grant will continue to help the Highway Department personnel serve our residents effectively.”
