(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council has been awarded $84.8 million dollars in economic development funds at today’s Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) awards ceremony, which took place in Albany. The Regional Economic Development Council process splits the state into ten regions, with each region submitting economic development plans for their respective territories.
“As a representative of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council, I saw firsthand the quality of projects that were submitted this year,” said Senator Bonacic. “The awarding of this substantial amount of money is a testament to the hard work, and dedication of the members of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council and the vision put forth by all of the applicants. I am confident that this money will help create jobs, and continue to spur economic development in our region.
The counties that are included in the Mid-Hudson Region are Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess, Ulster, Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam.
