June 6, 2017
(Albany, NY)-At a press conference today in Albany, State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) joined his colleagues, Senator Patrick Gallivan and Senator Joe Griffo, as well as advocates from across New York to push for the passage of the Charitable Gaming Act of 2017. The legislation, S.4329, would amend state law in relation to the sale of raffle tickets for bona-fide charitable organizations. The changes will allow non-profit groups to sell raffle tickets via the internet and provide additional payment options for raffles and other fundraising activities.
