(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) presented a ceremonial pen certificate to Ulster County Legislature Chairman Ken Ronk last evening. The framed pen certificate commemorated the signing into law of S.5301-A of 2016 which Ulster County had requested. The bill allows the County of Ulster to regulate the registration and licensing of taxicabs, livery vehicles, and limousines. This authority had been requested in order to provide the county with the ability to enter into a reciprocity agreement with the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission to allow livery companies, which are based in Ulster County, to provide service to New York City.
