(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) responded today to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Hudson Valley State of the State address.
Governor Cuomo chose to take his State of the State address on the road this year, delivering six regional addresses. Today’s Hudson Valley address was given at SUNY Purchase in Westchester County.
“To the extent that Governor Cuomo is serious about doing the people's business this legislative session, I am committed to working with him. I am pleased that he is committed to investing $2 billion to improve critical water infrastructure, which will benefit the people of my district,” said Senator Bonacic. “However, if he is more interested in burnishing his national credentials by advocating for progressive policies that don’t improve the economic conditions of New York, I believe he will find resistance.”
“Regardless of the path he chooses, my colleagues in the Republican Majority Conference in the Senate will continue to look to lower property taxes, improve infrastructure, create jobs, fund our education system, protect our veterans and law enforcement officers and improve the lives of all New Yorkers.”
