O'Mara, Friend and Palmesano holding community meetings in Chemung and Steuben counties on September 27 and September 28

Corning, N.Y., September 27—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats), and Assemblymen Chris Friend (R,C,I-Big Flats) and Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) today announced the schedule for community meetings they will hold in Chemung and Steuben counties on Wednesday, September 27, and Thursday, September 28.
In a joint statement, O’Mara, Friend, and Palmesano said, “We hope local residents will continue to take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to the challenges facing our region and state, including the heroin and opioid crisis, job creation, high taxes and overregulation, mandate relief, health care, education, transportation, and so many others. Community meetings offer an opportunity for the direct give and take that’s fundamental to effective government.”
On Wednesday, September 27, the area lawmakers will hold meetings at the:
> Horseheads Village Hall (202 S. Main Street in Horseheads) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. O’Mara will be joined by Friend and Palmesano at this meeting;
> Corning Town Offices (20 S. Maple Street in Corning) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., where Palmesano will join O’Mara.
On Thursday, September 28, O’Mara and Palmesano will hold meetings at the:
> Woodhull Town Hall (1585 Academy Street in Woodhull) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.;
> Campbell Town Hall (8529 Main Street in Campbell) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The meetings are informal and open to the public to give local residents an opportunity to directly share their concerns, opinions, and suggestions for better government. The legislators stressed that any local residents unable to attend a meeting can contact them directly to share specific concerns and suggestions.
