August 2, 2017
Senator Montgomery joins Co-Founder and CEO Blake Tomnitz, Co-Founder and COO Kevin O’Donnell, Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, Deputy Borough President Diana Reyna, Councilmember Carlos Menchaca, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and community members to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Five Boroughs Brewing Company.
As the latest addition to New York City’s thriving beer scene, Five Boroughs Brewing Co. aims to strengthen the prevalence of local manufacturing, enliven the social landscape for residents and visitors alike, and become a prominent destination within Brooklyn's incredible food and drink culture. Five Boroughs brews all of our beer onsite in our 15,000 square-foot facility located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The facility, a rehabilitated steel fabrication plant, consists of 12,500 square feet for production, including space for barrel aging and a quality-control lab, in addition to a 2,500 square-foot taproom.
For the past two years, the Five Boroughs team has worked hand-in-hand with state and city officials as well as the local community to create a space that would embody the spirit of New York City. Their team has worked tirelessly to create new jobs in Sunset Park and a culture that all New Yorkers can be a part of and craft exceptional beer that they are all able to enjoy.
