Empowering Youth Tech Challenge

Youth empowerment and youth leadership has been critical to reimagining and remaking the world - taking us from where we are to where we should be. We saw that across the nation this weekend with the March for Our Lives, and I believe we saw it here in Brooklyn with our Youth Tech Challenge. The Challenge’s theme ‘A Community Builds’ meant focusing on challenges these young people see and using the skills Digital Girl educators foster to meet those challenges.
Thanks to all the students who participated in the Challenge. Thanks to Digital Girl and Medgar Evers College for being solid partners in the empowerment of young people. Thanks to our community partner, State Farm, for sponsoring the event.
In addition to exposing our youth to future career opportunities in coding, computer science, and information technology, this Youth Tech Challenge helps build the innovative leaders of tomorrow!
