Neighborhood Speaks Out for Safe Streets
Jesse Hamilton
March 13, 2018
Our hearts are with the families, friends, & Park Slope community who lost two little ones last week in a horrific crash. "Change the law!" - just one of the demands at the NYC March For Safe Streets last night. Advancing legislation to do just that with colleagues like Assemblymember Robert Carroll, Senator Jose R. Peralta, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, and many more.
Thanks to Transportation Alternatives, Park Slope Neighbors, Bed-Stuy Safe Streets, Vision Zero Youth Council, Park Slope Street Safety Partnership, Community Education Council District 15, Families For Safe Streets, Park Slope Parents, Make Brooklyn Safer, and all the colleagues, residents, and advocates who were able to participate. Our voices, the voices of the community, the voices of all concerned New Yorkers must be heard in Albany and in City Hall to make our neighborhoods safer.
