No one should underestimate the power of the gun violence prevention movement. We wear orange because we know the human cost of gun violence. We demand an end to this senseless violence.
It was empowering to join the Not In My Hood anti-violence march and resource fair. East Flatbush Village knows how to kick off Gun Violence Awareness Month. It was wonderful to see the whole neighborhood stand tall, Brooklyn-style.
