(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that SUNY Delhi has been awarded a $50,000 grant for the purchase of a golf simulator for its professional golf management program. The grant was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, funding for which was appropriated in the 2018-2019 State Budget.
“SUNY Delhi is the only school in the Northeast to offer a Professional Golf Management Program,” said Senator Bonacic. “The purchase of the new simulator will allow the students access to cutting edge technology.”
SUNY Delhi President Michael Laliberte said, “We sincerely appreciate Senator Bonacic’s support and commitment to advancing educational opportunities for our students. His most recent grant will fund industry-leading simulator technology that adds a new dimension to our Professional Golf Management program, the only program of its type in New York State. The simulator will expand teaching and practice opportunities for students, helping them become highly skilled golf professionals and instructors.”
