Senator Bonacic Announces $50,000 Grant for the Village of Otisville
May 10, 2018
(Middletown, NY)-State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) announced today that the Village of Otisville has been awarded a $50,000 grant to be used to finish the Seybolt Avenue water main replacement project. The grant was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, funding for which was appropriated in the 2017-2018 State Budget.
This project will be a continuation of the Village of Otisville’s multiyear project to upgrade the water main along Seybolt Avenue. The project will involve replacing a portion of the ancient water mains with a new 8 inch water main, improving water quality and flow to residences and fire hydrants.
“I’m pleased to help support the Village of Otisville in their ongoing efforts to upgrade their water infrastructure,” said Senator Bonacic. “In addition to the infrastructure improvements, this grant will help the Village residents by saving them money.”
Village of Otisville Mayor Brian Wona said, “I would like to thank Senator Bonacic for his continued support and generosity to the Village of Otisville. Without the Senator’s support, the Village of Otisville would be many years behind on its water main replacement projects.”
