Dear Friends,
I hope you had a fantastic summer.
It was a pleasure to see many of you at the block parties and summer events this season. My staff and I were delighted to have so many of you join us at the Senate District 19 Fun Day this August.
I would also like to thank all the parents and students who signed up for the Summer Reading Program.
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” – Dr. Seuss
Now is time to turn our eyes on education. For many, today is your first day in the walls of the classroom.
To the students, I encourage you to work hard, play hard and stay curious.
To the parents and caregivers, continue to support the students in your life, and become partners with the schools in any way you can.
To the teachers and educators, continue to give your best to help our students to achieve beyond their dreams!
As your State Senator, I will continue to advocate for a quality education for all.
Let us continue to work together knowing that together everyone achieves more!
Sincerely,
Roxanne
