Dear Friend:
In my first districtwide newsletter, I included a survey for constituents to select their top three issues for me prioritize. This week, I submitted an Op-Ed in local papers throughout the 37th Senate District reviewing the results from over 200 responses and ways I am working with my colleagues to address these concerns. Results of the survey are available here and in the section below.
On October 2nd, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a bill I sponsored, S.8582/A.398A. The bill creates the NYS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.) Research & Education Fund, and it provides a convenient way for people to contribute to the fund through a check-off box on the corporate and personal income tax forms. Read more about this new law in the section below.
As always, if there is a concern you think my office can help you with, please don't hesitate to call us at 914-934-5250.
Warm regards,
Shelley B. Mayer
