Our region is no stranger to natural disasters, emergencies, or tragic accidents. We understand that disaster can strike at any instant. Accompanying this knowledge is a deep-rooted recognition of the bravery and selflessness shown by ordinary citizens, passersby, family members, friends, neighbors, and, of course, first responders in the face of disaster. The instant outpouring of assistance and generosity is always, without fail, remarkable.
Senator O'Mara offers his weekly perspective on many of the key challenges and issues facing the Legislature, as well as on legislative actions, local initiatives, state programs and policies, and more. Stop back every Monday for Senator O'Mara's latest column "From the Capitol..."
This week, "Thank you to emergency responders"
