STATEMENT FROM NYCHA INTERIM CHAIR AND CEO KATHRYN GARCIA ON THE STATE BUDGET PROPOSALS

“We applaud the Senate and Assembly for their support of public housing in their historic budget bills. This would not have happened without the leadership of Housing Chairs Brian Kavanagh and Steven Cymbrowitz. These proposals are just the start, and we look forward to working with the Legislature and the Governor’s office to ensure these funds are part of NYCHA’s ambitious plan to repair and preserve the homes of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers.”
