Senator Gaughran's Veteran of Distinction

May is National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM) and the New York State Senate is recognizing Veterans who have made a tremendous impact on their communities and on behalf of their fellow service members. Our office is accepting nominations until Friday, April 26th for the Senate’s annual “Veterans of Distinction” program to honor local veterans making outstanding contributions to our communities.

We will be holding my New York State Senate Veterans of Distinction awards ceremony in the District in May (date & location to be determined). My office will be accepting nominations for local residents to nominate friends, co-workers and neighborhood leaders whose outstanding work on behalf of their communities makes them deserving of special recognition by the State Senate as a New York “Veteran of Distinction.” Nominees must reside in the 5th Senate District.
