- On April 27, Senator Persaud held her fourth annual Rain Barrel Giveaway, giving away a hundred free rain barrels with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the NYC Department of Sanitation and the NYPD 69th Precinct.
- On April 27, Senator Persaud held her inaugural E-Waste Recycling, recycling dozens of unwanted electronics for residents with the Lower East Side Ecology Center.
- On May 2, Senator Persaud and Senator Gustavo Rivera hosted a forum with health professionals at the JCC Canarsie explaining the New York Health Act and discussing with members of the community how the legislation would affect them and other New Yorkers.
- On May 7, Senator Persaud met with the New York State Nurses Association during their lobby day and in celebration of National Nurses Day.
- On May 7, Senator Persaud honored Lisa Ann Hermann, award-winning educator, community leader and mother from Senate District 19, with the prestigious 2019 New York State Senate Women of Distinction Award at the annual celebration at the State Capitol.
- On May 9, Senator Persaud joined the MTA along with NYC Transit President Andy Byford and Kenneth Davis, station manager for the Rockaway/Canarsie L Train station, at the bustling subway stop to meet with commuters and discuss their concerns.
- On May 16, Senator Persaud and the AbleGamers Foundation held the inaugural G.A.M.E. (Game Accessibility Means Equality) Day in Senate District 19 at Brookdale University Hospital Cafeteria with the team from NBA 2K League's Knicks Gaming so those with disabilities can experience gaming despite their physical limitations.
- On May 14, Governor Cuomo signed the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act, legislation first introduced in 2011 — now sponsored by Senator Roxanne J. Persaud. That same day at the New York State Capitol, the Senator wore a purple scarf for Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Day and received an award from the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence for her leadership in passing the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act.
- On May 10, Senator Persaud joined Assemblymembers Simon and Colton and Senators Gounardes, Liu, Montgomery, Parker and Myrie for a panel to listen to testimony on the issues of Equity, Diversity and Admissions in New York City High Schools.
- On May 10, Senator Persaud, her colleagues, Department of Education officials, school administrators, teachers, students and community partners came together for the construction groundbreaking ceremony for the East New York Family School.
- On May 18, Senator Persaud, in conjunction with the Department of Education, Senator Julia Salazar, Assemblymember Charles Barron and Cypress Hills Local Development Corp., hosted the annual Senate District 19 College Resource Fair at the Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus.
- On May 18, Senator Persaud attended the 5th annual District 19 Stem-lympics at Van Siclen Community Middle School.
- On May 18, Senator Persaud dropped by Millennium Development's Family Day/Health Fair at the Bayview Community Center.
- On May 19, Senator Persaud joined veterans groups, civic associations and other elected officials in participating in the Fraser Civic Association, Marine Corps League and Brooklyn Detachment #1's annual Memorial & Re-Dedication, in reflection of the 28th Anniversary of Operation Desert Storm and the 23rd Anniversary of the dedication of the Marine Major Eugene T. McCarthy Memorial.
- On May 23, Senator Persaud attended the NYPD 63rd Precinct's 2019 Medal Day at the Marine Park Golf Course.
- On May 23, Senator Persaud attended School District 22's Legislative Dinner and Awards with staffers Michael Benjamin and Danil Singh. She congratulated the awardees and thanked Superintendent Bove, the teachers, principals, custodians and all the volunteers.
- On May 24, Senator Persaud spent the evening at Brooklyn Borough Hall for the 53rd Guyana Independence Flag Raising Ceremony hosted by the Honorable Barbara Atherly, Counsel General Of Guyana and the Honorable Rudolph Ten Pow, Permanent Representative of Guyana to the United Nations.
- On May 27, Senator Persaud checked out and joined in on the Canarsie Memorial Day Parade 2019 to honor the soldiers who gave all so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have.
