Senate District 19 FREE Rain Barrel Giveaway + E-Waste Recycling

The Rain Barrel Giveaway at the District Office at 1222 E 96th St, Brooklyn, NY 11236 on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Courtesy of the Department of Environmental Protection, Senator Persaud will be giving away free rain barrels to constituents. These tank systems help save money, conserve water and reduce pollution. Only residents of Senate District 19 are eligible; to register, click here:

That same day (Saturday, April 27) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Lower East Side Ecology Center will be stationed at the parking lot down the block the District Office is located on, near Flatlands Avenue. They will be recycling e-waste for residents; it is illegal for New Yorkers to discard electronics the trash, and they are accepting many types of working and non-working devices and items.
