Albany, N.Y., January 29—State Senator Tom O’Mara voted against legislation approved by the Senate today that O’Mara believes further erodes Second Amendment rights in New York State.
Following today’s action, O’Mara released the following statement:
“Local, grassroots opposition to the SAFE Act and other overreaching and unnecessary gun control actions in New York State remains as strong as ever. I continue to stand with many citizens and local leaders, including law enforcement leaders, from across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions in strong opposition to actions that continue to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding, responsible gun owners and citizens throughout my legislative district and statewide.”
