Senator Montgomery and Assemblywoman Seawright's bill requiring notices of allowance for infant support has been delivered to the Governor and awaits his signature. When an individual seeks to use an infant's (Person under 18) property to pay for the infants support, they must petition the court for approval and provide notice to all parties designated by the court.
While current law, only requires the infant's father to be notified. Leaving the child's mother to only be notified if the father is deceased. This bill clarifies areas in the law to provide for all parents and guardians regardless of gender, and all responsiblie parties receive equal notification.
