Senator Montgomery discusses important legislation with AARP advocates in Albany

Senator Montgomery met with AARP advocates to garner support for their legislative agenda. They are pushing for several bills that would overall improve the lives of aging New Yorkers.
S.141, would mandate that no msnufacturer or wholesaler can sell a pharmaceutical at an unconscionably excessive price and grants cort descretion to determine what is an excessive price.
S.2849, would prohibit a health plan's drug formulary has two or more tiers of drug benefits with different deductibles, copayments or coinsurance, the plan may not move a drug to a tier with higher patient cost sharing during the enrollment year.
