Senator Biaggi Joins 32BJ SEIU and Senate Colleagues to Discuss Healthy Terminals Act
May 21, 2020
On May 21, Senator Biaggi joined 32BJ SEIU and her Senate colleagues from Long Island and Hudson Valley to talk about why we need to pass her bill with Alicia L. Hyndman to enact the Healthy Terminals Act. She says, as we have felt the devastating impact of COVID-19 in New York State, it has become abundantly clear just how important it is to not only guarantee health coverage for every person, but especially our frontline airport workers who are at high-risk of exposure. The Healthy Terminals Act will give airport workers access to the healthcare they need to keep themselves, their families, and every traveler safe while continuing to provide crucial services to our state. We cannot allow our essential airport workers to continue risking their lives without the necessary benefits to safeguard their health – we must pass the Healthy Terminals Act immediately.
