Senator Kevin Thomas Statement on Announcement of Landmark Agreement to Advance Clean Up of Navy-Grumman Plume

The cleanup of the Grumman Navy Plume has been a top priority for me since I took office. Today, Northrop Grumman and New York State announced a landmark agreement to contain and clean up the plume without shifting the financial burden onto the taxpayers. I commend the Governor, NY DEC, our local water districts, environmental groups, and my fellow elected officials for their partnership and ongoing commitment to protecting our clean water. This is truly a landmark victory for Long Islanders.
