The Shared Work Program helps employers weather difficult business cycles by keeping employees on payroll while allowing staff members to receive partial Unemployment Insurance benefits when working reduced hours. The Shared Work Program helps keep trained employees on the job during temporary business downturns, which allows New York businesses to gear up quickly when conditions improve. Full-time, part-time and seasonal employees are eligible.
Attendees will also hear from a Westchester business owner who used the program and how the program was a crucial part in keeping her business successfully operating throughout the crisis.
