Senator Velmanette Montgomery joined by Senator Roxanne Persaud (D-Brooklyn), Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffe (D-Rockland) and Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi (D-Queens) have written a letter to Mayor Bill DeBlasio calling on him to ensure that the state funding for the Summer Youth Employment Program is used to aid low-income families that were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
