Senators Call for Accountability Following Violent Insurrection at U.S. Capitol
January 7, 2021
On January 7th, Senator José M. Serrano joined 39 other senators in a letter, led by Senator Liz Krueger to Congressional leaders and Acting Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen, calling for all involved- including the former president- to be held
accountable for inciting the violent January 6th insurrection in Washington.
"The attack on the U.S. Capitol was a horrific assault on our democracy and an appalling act of domestic terrorism, and I am proud to join my colleages in calling for full accountability for those responsible," said Senator Serrano.
